The Founders
We are Nicolás and Vicente Chirinos, two brothers born in Arequipa, Peru, who have always felt most at home outdoors. Mountains, bikes, dirt bikes, trails and adventure have been part of our lives for as long as we can remember.
After moving to Lima to study business, we found ourselves facing the path many young Peruvians know well: graduate, build a career in the capital and stay close to where most of the country's opportunities are concentrated.
We chose something different.
Before either of us turned 25, we left Lima and moved to Lamay, a small town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, with a simple but ambitious dream: to build a life in the mountains and create a place where we could share everything we love about Peru with people from around the world.
That dream became The Lodge Peru.

For us, moving to the Sacred Valley was about much more than opening a hotel. It was a decision about how we wanted to live:
Surrounded by mountains instead of traffic, with trails outside our door, food grown nearby, and a strong connection to the local community.
Because Peru is
so much more than its famous destinations.
It is:

Riding ancient trails high in the Andes,

walking through traditional communities,

discovering hidden valleys and mountain lakes

and sharing a meal made with ingredients grown nearby.

Today, The Lodge remains deeply personal to us. We live here, ride these trails, explore these mountains and work alongside our team and the local community.
This isn't simply where we built The Lodge. It's where we chose to build our lives.
And now, we invite you to experience it for yourself.
