Discover a different side of the Sacred Valley

Deep inside the Andes

A place where the Sacred Valley still feels authentic.

Lamay is a small traditional Andean town surrounded by mountains, farmland and some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Sacred Valley. Unlike the valley’s busier destinations, life here still moves at a slower pace, making it the perfect place to experience the region beyond the traditional tourist routes.

Its location offers the best of both worlds: peace and authenticity without feeling isolated. Pisac is just 20 minutes away, Urubamba around 40 minutes, and Cusco approximately 90 minutes by car, making Lamay an ideal base for exploring the Sacred Valley.

Lamay is also made for the outdoors. Ancient trails climb directly into the surrounding mountains, local communities remain deeply connected to their traditions, and the valley offers endless opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and exploring.

The climate is another reason we chose to call Lamay home. Its warm, sunny days, cool evenings and green surroundings create a comfortable environment throughout much of the year.

For us, Lamay represents what makes the Sacred Valley special: mountains, nature, tradition and a genuine connection to local life, without the crowds.

It is not simply a place to stay between destinations.
